I met Chris in December 2025 on a five day tuna fishing trip aboard the Red Rooster III. He told me that he built fishing rods. A friend of his, also on that trip, brought some of the gear that Chris made. I looked at them, very well constructed. The rods were beautiful, but looks ain't everything. Wanted to see how the rods performed. His buddy ended up catching the jackpot. So I told Chris if he ever got the chance to come back to Cali., we'd go fishing. April of 2026 he came out and we fished a one-day trip and 2 half day trips. All 3 trips we fished in some deep waters. I fished with one of Chris's custom rods and it performed WELL! I decided to have him build me a tuna rod that I'll try out in December on our next five-day tuna trip. Great Rods! Beautifully made - All high quality material.
