Hi, my name is Chris Rendo. For the past 30 years I have worked with my step father building custom fly-rods for a wide variety of anglers. From freshwater to saltwater style fly-rods, people from all over the globe loved to fish with a  JC Custom fishing rod. I learned from a Master Rod Builder, John Christlieb, who taught me how to build a piece of art. With late nights tying flies and epoxying rods I grew to love fishing more and more.

John Christlieb owned  a Fly-Rod shop called “Western Angler”, out of Santa Rosa Ca. in the 1980’s. When John went home to be with the Lord in 2017, I inherited his legacy and am building it back up to fit and customize fishing rods in every style for every fisherman. 

I’ll personalize your fishing rod with your name on it and customize it to your liking.  You pick whatever color thread for your hand tied guides, choose the components that fit you best……and enjoy!!
